The Latest

Okay- so Friday night I went to grab some Settebello Pizza and when I came back about an hour later, Colin said that Ellie felt warm again. So, in the habit of taking her temperature, I am assuming it is back up to 104. The readout said 106- so I thought, if she was laying on that ear it will be higher than it really is- so I took her temp in the other ear- the readout: 106.5! I just kind of looked at it- disbelieving. So I had Colin call the on-call doc while I put her in a tepid bath and loaded her up on Motrin. After I got through her somewhat extensive recent medical history, the doc said to just watch her and get her in on Monday and that the next step may be a hematologist. I talked to my sister, the nurse, later and she had a few suggestions but kept having to pause and breathe through her contractions- until I finally told her to hang up and call HER doctor (She had her baby 3 hours later- boy, all are doing well).. I love sisters- fevers, new babies- its all cool and on the table for discussion and support.. So Ellie's fever broke that night and although it came back again today (sat..) we only got to 104, our usual. On Motrin, Ellie looks like this:Taken today- the girls were ballerinas..

And when the Motrin wears off:
