OK- Ellie just came down with her 14th fever in 8 weeks. I finally charted her fevers etc. to show the doctor that I am not totally paranoid (yeah and the actual charting of the illness doesn't make me look AT ALL paranoid...) The fevers are x's and the colored blocks are our bouts of antibiotics. Most of her fevers were around 104 degrees. We have cultured her urine 3 times- all negative. We drew some blood on Tuesday and nothing jumps out. So- I am sending this out into the blog world of super-intelligent moms who hear and remember every illness their kids and friends kids have had- and I want some ideas on what the heck is wrong with this child. I am totally stumped and am starting to go yucky places like Leukemia... So some ideas, if you have any?? Ask your friends, Doctors, everyone.. Thanks!!

Ellie looks so sad...Where's Izzy Stevens when we need her? Or, I guess Dr. Gray is who solves medical mysteries. She's who could help. I'll keep a good thought and Good Luck.
Everyone is my sister Michelle's area has the 5th disease virus. It starts w/ a cold, fever, don't know if that high though, then body breaks out in rash. Can't do anything about it, last for 3-4 weeks. Don't know if that helps at all since your on week 8.

Oh, Jamie. :( Sorry! How frustrating. My only bit of advice would be 1) get a second and third opinion - be persistant(we literally went to over 6 pediatricians before we got a CF diagnosis from a beloved P.A.) 2) Don't panic yet. Doing searches on the internet can be helpful, but also extremely worrisome and can take you to places that aren't legit.
I'm sure you know all of the this already. My point is that we are here for you and will help in any way we can. Hang in there & keep us posted.
I will keep my ears and eyes open for hints or clues about this. Good for you for charting that and paying attention. Smart to post it too--for ideas.
Oh my gosh-poor little thing. I will keep my eyes and ears open. Holly had that 5th disease, but she didn't have fevers like that! It was just he ugly rash. For sure get a few opinions...we have learned that much for sure! Good luck.

My dad and his wife took care of her cancer with this guy's stuff. I have used some of it and it is awesome. My kids haven't been sick (anything more than a day) for 2 months. I am loving it.
I used to make fun of him for all his holistic crap, but I'm starting to think there is something to it. It sucks to have your kid on antibiotics forever. Anyhoo, I hope you figure out something fast. That is so scary and such a helpless feeling.
I should add, the "stuff" is straight 100% herbs and plant chemicals, and a little vodka. Not enough to harm a kid though, goes quicker to the bloodstream. Anyway, something to think about, although I would still want to know WHAT the heck she has. Have you changed her diet??? I am assuming her body is trying to fight off something (hence the fever) but what and why so often? I am seriously going to start thinking and checking out stuff. I'll let you know.
Our poor little Ellie! Cody is just sick about her...he loves her so much.
