Miriam and the Dolphins

Okay- quick story as a teaser before I get some pictures from Girls weekend.. For those of you who know Miriam- she grew up in So. Cal. also. I love to go to the beach- to lay on the sand and get tan. She just loves the beach- and so it was like 3:30 pm (which is when I would go HOME from the beach normally) and she said, "I just want to go swim!!" My bathing suit was in the car so I told her just to change and go swim because we only had an hour and going to get mine would waste time. So I am sitting there on the sand, watching the ocean, when I notice a pod of dolphins swimming REALLY close to shore. I thought to myself- "she is totally going to swim out to them!" oh yeah, she DID! She got within 5 feet of them, but although wild dolphins love to play, I don't think they really like to be touched so they backed off a bit but stayed in the vicinity. Now, I love to body surf and play in the ocean- when the water is warm and the sand nice and hot, and I would even go get a casual dinner with salt water in my hair but man, she put me to shame- My hat is off to the true Cali girl!
