Okay- so Colin was so proud of himself on Sunday. He had the kids ready for church at 9 am. Our church doesn't start until 11am... So he gets ready, prepares his lesson, and at 10:45 as they were walking out the door. Ellie threw up.
Frustrated beyond belief, he took pictures of the kids all ready- so I would believe him that he Actually DID try and Actually combed the girls hair all by himself! Not a bad ponytail for a first try. He said he even parted Rowans hair evenly for her pony.. But as bad as I felt for him- this is what Mom's go through a lot- there is tons that I would love to get done and can't because of the pukies or a fever.. It all comes with kids. Still- I told him I would blog it as proof!

wow collin the pony is great way to go! Bryan chooses to stay home when i am not there to get everyone ready!
isn't it funny how they want major credit for the work we do everyday? i always laugh at that. the girls hair is impressive though. :)

hahaha - I love it when our husbands have little glimpses into Motherhood. I don't know why but I always find those situations as HILARIOUS!! I am impressed though with the pony tail and the timing factor.....especially coming from someone who never had younger siblings to take care of, and whos mother did EVERYTHING for him!! ;)- Good Job Colin!

Colin is the Man. When I'm in charge of getting my kids ready their hair never sees a comb and they're lucky to be wearing a full set of clothes. Colin, don't set the bar so high for the rest of us.
That is hilarious! The fact that he thought to stop and take a picture for proof is the best part of the story! Russ was happy to hear he wasn't the only one home with sick kids on Sunday. Glad we had fun, I don't think they will ever let us out of the house again!

I am VERY impressed! Aren't we lucky to have such great husbands...20-30 yrs. ago I don't think dad's did that kind of stuff. Wow! Up & ready...pony tail & all! AMAZING!
Well I just caught up on your blog. I am sorry to hear about little Ellie. I hope they find out what is wrong. It is always scary when my kids (or other little ones we know) get sick! It is usually nothing but everything in the world goes through your mind(I am so guilty of being a hyprocondriac?) Good to catch up on you. :)
He did awesome on the hair~I am so impressed. Bummer as it was for the kids, I would say that Colin, Cody and Russ all majorly scored on Sunday...three sick kids? What are the odds? I, too, think it it hilarious that he took pictures. That rocks.
