Steve Young a TOTAL PANSY!
Okay- so I am staying in California right now and in the THICK OF THE PROP 8 crisis. Rumor has it that Steve Young's wife donated $50K to the NO on PROP 8. Pretty much that means she totally disregarded the counsel of the First Presidency and he let her. Hope she is happy with this Career Move. Yeah- this is a tough subject. It will hurt those of our family members who are gay. But as I said before, the lines are being drawn and you have to stand up for what you know is right. Disagreeing with a behavior or opinion DOES NOT MEAN YOU DISLIKE THE PERSON!!!! In her case- HOW HARD IS IT TO STAY NEUTRAL???? So, I know someone who I will not be inviting to speak anytime soon... :). What people do not get is that in other countries with legalized gay marriage- CHURCHES who preach against it are being prosecuted for HATE speech... WHAT HAPPENED TO FREEDOM OF RELIGION? This is going to have HUGE ramifications that all the little teenage and college age kids without a family have not even considered yet. And when they do have kids and wonder how the world got the way it is, why their kids friends are totally gender confused and acting out frustrations, I hope they remembered that they willingly gave up their own rights under the umbrella of "TOLERANCE".

Just so you know there is a guy named steve young running for something here in so. cal. It is obviously not the same Steve Young. I doubt the mormon steve young's wife would donate against prop. 8.
Actually- we checked to make sure, and according to Dara, it IS the right Steve Young because his BRO in Law is Gay...
I totally agree with all your stuff...Amen, sista! I do, however, think it is the other Steve Young's wife...I've been poking around a bit, too...

I was under the impression Prop 8 does not HURT gays. They still have civil union. It just will not allow judges to overturn it.??

The lines are clearly being drawn and I stand with Jaime and the First Presidency. Now is not the time for us to stand idle and let "others" make the decision. It is time to stand up for what we believe and do the work to make sure that marriage and families are protected.
Steve Young dated my friend in college and always set a good example as a figurehead! So I agree with the TOTALLY Pansy comment! Slap-that wife!! Does she think she knows something that Monson doesn't?? Good Luck on Judgment Day Sister Young!!!!
