For all of you who haven't gone to the airshow- it is actually really fun- if you do it right. Here are some tips we learned the hard way.
1. Get a schedule and plan to leave right after the Thunderbirds- not try to get there right before and almost not make it and panic that you are going to miss the best part..
2. Park in the lot closest to Nellis- not the main one they send everyone to.
3. If you do park in the big lot- take the wrong bus back because the lines are shorter and according to Tessie there is a shuttle from one parking lot to the other..
4. Take drinks
5. Sweatshirts we had and used (waiting in line for the buses in the dark and dust) but also bring a change of pants for your one year old..
6. Earplugs we had but the kids wouldn't wear them- show them how to cover their ears.

Ellie and Rowan crying right after one Thunderbird flew right overhead and made the entire crowd jump. It was actually pretty awesome- just a little loud for the unsuspecting chillin's..
