Christmas Vacation

ADVENTURE CITY

DISNEYLAND

So I can go back and blog halloween, Thanksgiving, and girls trip to Oregon but the way things have been going- I think I better just start from here. Over Christmas break we went to Adventure City and Disneyland. Since my parents live about a half hour from each of these, it makes it really easy. Adventure City is literally like 4 miles from Disney and perfect for little kids that are too small to go on all the fun rides at Disneyland- but it has roller coasters and the "Drop Zone" that served as a great warm-up for Ellie who tends to observe how others react before trying anything. After she got used to the rides at Adventure City, she actually wanted to go on most of the rides at Disneyland which totally surprised all of us! We did not actually take very many pictures either place, not sure why, but the kids had all their cousins at both and had a great time! Noah and Cooper got picked at the Jedi Training Center which was awesome since it would have been heartbreak if only one got picked.. I have a video of that but as cute as it was- not super exciting for the outside person... Ellie went on Thundermountain- voluntarily!! and Noah went on California Screamin. He was so nervous he couldn't even speak and afterwards he was all "THAT WAS AWESOME!!" The mistake I made was taking Ellie on Tower of Terror.... um, yeah. I didn't remember how crazy it is! She was TERRIFIED- so mission accomplished, I guess.. But it was a ton of fun and the kids (and adults) had so much fun!! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!!!

So fun! I was thinking of you last night...I met Kelsey at Cafe Rio for dinner with all our kids (five together) and she left her purse on her front porch-so I had them by myself. Not too bad, at first...but then the baby was whining, the three year old didn't want the food there-she wanted chicken nuggets, the two older girls needed to go to the bathroom! Oh my--two seven year olds, one five year old, one three year old and one one year old! I got some interesting looks and wondered how people in your shoes make those kinds of adventures out in the world! I am sure you have it under control WAY more than I did! Your kids are so darling-
