I was making dinner the other night and saw Ellie slip and fall, hitting her head on the bottom step of the stairs. Now the stair is carpeted so I didn't immediately rush over there, just asked how she was. She was whimpering a little and then held her hand out to me with a questioning look on her face. She was COVERED in blood. I carried her to the bathroom and it took while to figure out where was coming from. She had split open the inside of her cheek. We called Chris to see if he could stitch it and after he looked at it, told us that we should take her to ER. The laceration came all the way to her lip border.. So a sedation, IV line, respiratory therapist, and only 3 stitches and two days later- she looks like this. I took pictures with my phone but can't get them to email... I am a little worried about her mouth and hope that it is still just swollen, not paralyzed... seriously! We are going to have to make the ER doc our Primary...

Poor girl. Sorry Chris couldn't save yopu some money and help!! He didn't want you to sue if it didn't go so well:) You do have a good connection!!
Look at that face! With or without stitches she is just too too pretty.
By the way. . . I can't remember if you ever gave an update on why she was getting sick and having so many fevers? What was the deal with that? I assume someone figured it out and everything is fine now?
who was the dr? i wish dr podhaisky was still here. we miss him so...
Holy moly! I'm glad she is ok, but talk about being put through the ringer (you too!). Geesh! ;) I agree with the comment two above me...that face is just adorable.
Oh that poor girl-you need to make a scrapbook dedicated to her doctors visits and injury's- it might be bigger than your other kids normal books!
